About Us

“To promote the growth and value of Case Management and to support the evolving needs of the Case Management Profession”

Healthcare continues to be a prominent issue in our society. It is a chief concern in America today. The Case Management Society of America is an integral part of the healthcare industry, and has been deeply involved in managing fundamental case management issues since 1990. CMSA is a professional organization that is necessary to better help patients reach optimum health and also ensure that the medical choices made are prompt and cost efficient.

The Hudson Valley Chapter of CMSA, founded in 1998, is an active organization with a growing membership. We are proud to serve a diverse interdisciplinary network of healthcare professionals who hail from the Hudson Valley region of New York State to include Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Counties. Our Chapter is dedicated to promoting the growth and value of case management and to supporting the evolving needs of the case management profession. We work towards these goals by providing educational opportunities for our membership that address the six major domains of the case management process. Our conveniently scheduled monthly meetings are very well attended and provide not only an array of dynamic speakers and diverse topics, but contribute to great networking opportunities. Our plan is to continue to expand our membership and to reach out to case managers in the Hudson Valley region of New York State.

Our chapter website was implemented to keep our membership and other interested professionals, updated on various aspects of local events and educational offerings. We would love to hear from you. Make sure to check the site to meet our Officers, Board of Directors, Committee Chairpersons, and to view our calendar of events. We want to recognize our members for their great accomplishments and contributions to the profession. Please forward these accomplishments by [clicking here].

Hudson Valley CMSA has decided to “brand” our chapter by the use of our “logo” on all our communications. We started with the website at www.hvcmsa.org and features our logo featuring the flowing river. Since our chapter is named after the famous Hudson River and region of New York, we have incorporated all our communications to include the logo. We have included the name that the Lenape Indian tribe used – “Muhheakantuck”- which means river that flows both ways. Through the use of our website we are keeping the information flowing both ways.
